Overview
An education channel with great scripts was losing mobile viewers in the first seconds. Static captions and plain titles couldn't hold a scrolling feed.
We designed a kinetic type system — punchy animated titles, word-by-word captions with emphasis pops, and 3D lower thirds that match the channel's brand.
The challenge
The animations had to be loud enough to stop thumbs but clean enough to read at a glance on small screens, and reusable across dozens of episodes without rebuilding.
Approach
- Design the type system. Two fonts, three weights and a strict timing grid keep every title in the same visual family.
- Animate to the voice. Each caption lands on the spoken beat, with emphasis words scaled and colored for meaning.
- Package templates. The client got drag-and-drop title presets so future episodes keep the same look in-house.
