A skincare brand shot a beautiful commercial that looked flat straight out of camera. They needed a warm, premium grade that felt sunlit without shifting skin tones into orange.
We built a custom show LUT around protected skin tones, then shaped each scene with soft contrast, golden highlights and a gentle film grain finish.
The challenge
Mixed daylight and practical lighting across the shoot meant every setup drifted in a different direction. The grade had to unify six locations into one continuous golden afternoon.
Approach
- Balance every setup. Exposure and white balance were normalized shot by shot before any creative look touched the footage.
- Protect the skin. Skin tones were isolated and locked so the warm push could go bold everywhere else without side effects.
- Finish with texture. A light 35mm grain and halation pass gives the digital footage its soft, filmic glow.
